WIDE ANGLE VIEWS OF SALTHILL AND THE WEATHER WAS WET AND WINDY
I should mention that walking along a beach on a really wet and windy can be a wonderful experience that I highly recommend.
Early on Wednesday it started to rain very heavy early in the morning and continued doing so for most of the day and this was especially disappointing as I had hoped to photograph Salthill.
Last year I had to abandon my visit to Salthill because of the weather but this year as I had nothing better to do I decided to get the bus to the seaside resort and to remain on the bus if the weather was unsuitable for photography but when I arrived there was a brief opportunity for photography as the rain had stopped for about forty five minutes. It was extremely windy and I lost my hat and a few other items.
This visit I brought along much better weather protection for myself and my camera. Because of weather protection I was limited to using a small 25mm Zeiss Lens and unfortunately one corner of the images was obstructed by a flap on the camera cover blowing in the wind.
Salthill is a seaside resort on the northern shore of Galway Bay, Ireland. Its beach consists of a series of small rocky or sandy stretches. Salthill Promenade offers views of the nearby harbour city of Galway and the Aran Islands.
