THE PEOPLE’S FLOWER GARDENS IN PHOENIX PARK – VICTORIAN WATER FOUNTAIN
There are many Victorian fountains and water features in Dublin and there are a few more modern installations around the city but in general they have one thing in common and that is that they do not have water. However, it should be noted that the majority located in parks managed by the Office Of Public Works [OPW] do work as originally intended.
Back in 2014 Gary Branigan published a paperback under the title “Fountains Of Dublin”

The Victorian People’s Flower Gardens are located between the Parkgate Street entrance, and the North Circular Road Gate entrance to the Phoenix Park
The gardens were originally established in 1840 as the Promenade Grounds and provide an opportunity to demonstrate the beauty and art horticulture.
