DUBLIN STREET ART ON VIEW AT VERNON GROVE IN RATHGAR
If anyone had asked me where Vernon Grove is I would have said Clontarf as Vernon Avenue is in Clontarf.
This is not a location that I would normally visit in order to photograph street art. It is located at the Vernon Grove end of a back lane that connects to Rathgar Road via Belleville Avenue.
It is a very attractive area and I lived nearby on Frankfort Avenue early from late 1959 until late 1960.
Before then I lived on the border between Derry and Donegal and as there was no secondary school nearby in Donegal I was sent to live with my grandmother for a year and attended school in the city centre near Stephen’s Green and that is when I developed my liking for Dublin City which has remained with me until now.
