WATER FEATURE IN MEMORY OF THE CHILDREN WHO DIED DURING THE 1916 EASTER RISING – ST AUDOEN’S PARK NEAR CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL

It is a little known fact [or at least it was until recently] that forty children during the 1916 Easter rising in Dublin. In Dublin city centre – between the North Circular and South Circular roads – from Heuston station to the Custom house, 500 people lost their lives in six days and the majority were civilians.
